Welcome to our practice! South Bay Allergy and Asthma Associates was created in 1991 when Dr. Edward Buchsbaum and Dr. Joyce Schoettler partnered to provide their own unique brand of specialty allergy and asthma care to pediatric and adult patients in the South Bay community.

We strive to understand what is important to each patient and custom tailor a treatment plan to maximize successful treatment outcomes.

We have a 24-hour emergency line available to page our on-call physician in case of severe asthma and allergy emergencies.
Electronic Medical Records
We utilize electronic medical records, integrating the patient's medical history with insurance information, prescription history, and laboratory and x-ray diagnostic results. The ability to instantaneously exchange health care information between our office and referring physicians, hospitals, and college health clinics prevents the unnecessary duplication of procedures and tests. Other health care providers involved in your ongoing care are kept up to date about changes in your allergy treatment plan and medical condition, as well as laboratory and x-ray results.
